Computational Geometry
Literature: Annotations
Several electronic bibliography collections provide separate indices or search pages
for specific journals and
conference proceedings. These are indicated on the
journals and past events web
pages by the following annotations.
- MathSciNet is a link to a complete list of issues since 1985, from the
American Mathematical Society's
MathSciNet site. From this list, you can access the contents and abstracts
from the publication, exactly as they appear in Mathematical
Reviews. I've added this link for only a few journals so far, but
MathSciNet indexes almost every
mathematical publication in existence. (Sadly, SoCG proceedings are not
considered mathematical publications by the AMS.) This service is only available
to subscribing institutions.
- HBP is a link to a complete hypertext bibliography from
David Jones's
Hypertext Bibliography
Project, which includes contents, keywords, citations (of other HBP papers),
references (to other HBP papers), and (in a few cases) abstracts.
- DB&LP is a link to the complete table of contents, from
Michael Ley's
Databases
& Logic Programming bibliography server.
- Search is a link to the
search
page from the Hypertext
Bibliography Project, which searches by author, title, or keywords. The
search space includes all bibliographies in both HBP and DB&LP. To restrict
your search to a single journal, you must select it from the list yourself.
- CSBib is a link to the journal or proceedings bibliography from Alf-Christian
Achilles's extensive
Collection of Computer Science Bibliographies. The collection includes
all the
bibliographies from HBP and several from DB&LP. Consequently, in a few cases,
the collection includes multiple bibliographies for the same publication, whose
contents may differ slightly.
- ACM is a link to the ACM's official
bibliography for the journal or proceedings. Bibliographies go back about
ten years, although some bibliographies (SODA, for example) are woefully
incomplete. ACM also lets you
search through
recent abstracts, but there is currently no way to restrict the search to a single
publication.
- JSTOR is a link to the journal's JSTOR
archive. JSTOR is an electronic archive of
"important scholarly journal literature" established by the Mellon Foundation.
Every issue of each participating journal is available online, except
for the most recent three to five years. Only a few
mathematics journals
(and no computer science journals) are currently available, but presumably more
will be added over time. JSTOR is only accessible to users at
subscribing institutions.
Most of the listed journals and
conference proceedings are also (partially) indexed in the
Geometry Literature Database.
